Co-presented remotely with Colin Madland (in-person) for the ETUG 2018 Fall Workshop in Vancouver, BC.
In the Spring of 2018 Trinity Western University needed a robust e-portfolio solution to be developed to launch for incoming freshmen in the Fall of 2018. We already had access to a WordPress Multi-Site installation but needed to make it as easy as possible for students to get started on building an e-portfolio and sharing their work with their instructors, family, future employers and other communities. We engaged with Alan Levine to create a set of custom WordPress themes with starter content and WordPress guides built-in. Alan (remotely from Saskatchewan) and Colin will share some highlights and challenges they encountered, as well as some lessons learned. As a result of this project, TWU has much greater capacity for sharing knowledge both within and outside the walls of our classrooms and will be able to build a culture of sharing as we move forward.
